Access And Water Supply

Welcome to our new self-start page. 

Order of events to obtain a access and water supply from the fire district.

1.  Download and fill out an access and water supply worksheet (make sure a phone number and address are present). 

Note: If you plan to use alternate methods, please fill out the form Alternate materials and/or methods application.

2. Linn/Benton Fire Protection Guide is available to read and understand the standards we strive to obtain. 

3. Submit Documentation - Email to cbarnes@monroerfpd.org OR deliver in person to 680 commercial street, Monroe OR 97456.

4. Chief Barnes will schedule an appointment to perform a site visit. (Usually within 1 week).

5. Be present during site visit to answer any questions and address any possible conditions. 

6. Within 24-48 hours your paperwork will be finalized and either emailed to you or will be available for pickup.

Please provide:

1. Site plan including driveway layout. 

2. Any records or drawings involving bridges.

3. Engineered drawings of structures

4. Any documentation regarding alternate methods  

*The Fire District will not approve a bridge crossing for access without an engineer stamped capacity calculation. 

The Linn Benton Fire Protection Guide is commonly referred to as the "Driveway Standards", these standards are provided in good faith to assist building officials, contractors, designers, business owners, and the public with how local fire code officials will apply best practices that are considered to be in compliance with the intent of the Oregon Fire Code.
